Liberty means free from constraint, in other words, no halter, bridle, ropes etc. A horse that is properly trained to work at liberty can do more than just entertain. A horse that is trained at liberty is capable of performing tasks without wearing any tack and will be safer and more reliable when they do wear tack. What benefits would my horse attain by learning to work at liberty? Not only does liberty training offer the benefit of additional safety, but it also brings out more respect, trust and personality from your horse.
